Ahmed Zaazaa is an architect and urban designer by training and a researcher, educator, and activist by conviction. His work takes a social justice approach to sustainability, informality, climate change, and urban design.
As a lecturer and researcher, Ahmed focuses on social justice in housing and planning. He co- founded two entities; the latest is “10 Tooba: Applied Research on the Built Environment”. He contributed to conducting research concerning spatial equalities and participatory upgrading fields. Ahmed is also the co-founder of “Madd Platform” that works closely with local communities, in participatory research, planning and advocacy.
